RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and lead daily tasks of crews in accordance with site plans, adjusting when necessary due to shifting priorities and project changes.
  • Plan and coordinate all labor, materials, & equipment required to complete a project.
  • Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members.
  • Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed.
  • Work alongside crews and directly perform craftsperson/field tasks.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and be a safety leader in the field; advocate for and hold others accountable for a culture of safety. Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment and tools required for field staff team in a clean and organized manner. Maintains responsibility for tool trailer/connex or gang box ensuring correct quantities of tools/resources available.
  • Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership and holding employees accountable.
  • Assist in creating erection schedules and manpower forecasting for upcoming work.
  • Collaborate with design team during show drawing review to find effective ways to put work in place.
  • Coordinate all erection services and activities, including required inspections with authorized third parties and local jurisdictions.
  • Maintain daily reports of activities on the job site and daily job hazard analysis.
  • Cultivate a positive culture on the job site.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of steel and/or precast erection experience, with team leadership experience preferred.
  • Current certification or ability to become certified in:
  • OSHA 10 or 30
  • OSHA Subpart R Certification
  • Rigger/Signalman Training
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certification
  • Other equipment certifications, ariel platform, telehandler, skid loader, etc.
  • Possess a valid state issued driver’s license, safe driving record, and evidence of insurability.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives, establish credibility, and influence others.
  • Effectively communicate through professionally written material.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including a keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Competent to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
  • Highly developed problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office products, Bluebeam, P6, and computer-based maintenance systems.
