The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position
As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfaction
Site supervision and subcontractor management in performance & safety systems
Procuring of materials and coordinating deliveries and works schedules
Able to maintain planning/programming to assist senior project engineers with 4-6 week look aheadβs
Able to read/interpret design plans & drawings
Participate in client/contractor meetings where required
Financial assisting of cost tracking/invoicing of subcontractors on different packages of work
Gain leadership exposure with supporting graduates and cadets Β
Foster collaborative and effective relationships with a range of internal/external stakeholders
Maintain documentation and systems for quality, safety, environmental
Support delivery of various packages or work mainly focused around structures i.e pavements, asphalt, earthworks, drainage.
Required Skills and Competencies
You will have a tertiary education in civil/structural engineering, or similar
You will have a solid foundation of site-based experience working on a range of civil or structural packages as those above supporting a major road or rail project locally
Experience working on pavements, asphalt, earthworks, drainage ideally on a road project to VIC roads standards
Well-developed communication skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
