About the role

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, this role is accountable for Quality Management System of the Barossa Packaging Centre. It will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality and food safety of product, working with packaging and winery operations, group technical, procurement and suppliers to reduce non-conformances and to achieve quality right first time.

  • Manage and review current and potential issues with packaging materials, wine quality, food safety, food defense, hygiene processes and finished goods.
  • Collaborate on, develop and maintain framework for packaging materials standards
  • Ensure Quality evaluation response protocols are relevant to support business operations 
  • Collaborate with the Packaging Capability & Technologist Manager 
  • Ensure site initiates MyQI incidents to report dry goods performance issues for timely containment,
  • Overall governance of the ANZ Closure Assessment Facility, ensuring global alignment, including liaising with Cork Suppliers on business needs and expectations as required. 

About you

With a tertiary science, food science, engineering qualifications coupled with proven experience in manufacturing QA / beverage / food processing environment you will have well developed communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

  • Project Management with results focus
  • Sound problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate concise and detailed reports
  • Experience conducting technical trials. 
  • Experience with food safety systems. 
  • Experience in a continuous process packaging/ manufacturing environment
