Who we are
NORSTA Maritime is the Regional Maintenance Provider for the Regional Maintenance Centre North-East, delivering project management capabilities, technical expertise and quality assurance activities for the Royal Australian Navy fleet.
Our advanced maritime sustainment planning coordinates fleet maintenance at scale across Far North Queensland, including Northern Australia and adjacent waters for the Commonwealth of Australia.
Due to demand for our services, we are expanding rapidly and developing further capacity for more vessel platforms.
NOTE: Due to NORSTA Maritime's position as a Department of Defence contractor, we require all employees to be Australian citizens and able to hold a minimum Baseline Security Clearance with the ability to obtain access passes to HMAS Cairns and Cairns-based shipyards.
About you
You are an experienced Scheduler within the Australian Defence or Commercial environment with a successful track record.
You thrive in a positive and busy team environment with analytical mindset, excellent organisational, multi-tasking and time management abilities.
A natural problem solver, you will use your skills and experience to contribute to immediate solutions while improving processes for the future.
You have great communication skills that assist in the smooth flow of information between stakeholders, providing advice when necessary while pro-actively moving the project forward.
About the role
As Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and managing service delivery schedules for specific projects. This will include the planning, execution, reporting and control of all schedules, with specific planning activities related to the project budget and integrated maintenance programs. The role also tracks activities against contract deliverables (CDRLs).
