Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Scheduler to join our Welshpool Workshop. The Maintenance Scheduler will be responsible for effectively managing and preparing all requirements for estimates of machine repairs and component rebuilds of the companies heavy vehicle and light vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with Workshop Management and personnel to establish requirements for job work orders estimates
- Developing quotations including variations and present them to management in a correct and timely manner
- Assisting the Workshop Manager with booking in jobs to determine turnaround times and completion dates on repair time lines
- Communicating regularly with management to inform them of job progress and any changes to delivery dates
- Reviewing and analysing completed job packs to ensure that performance reflects criteria and is accepted and approved by the customer before passing for invoicing
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all key direct company related departments to foster efficient delivery of job work orders in accordance with the estimated labour and parts
- Perform any additional tasks as directed which are within your skill, qualification, and competence level
Qualifications:
- Previous experience quoting, estimating and planning heavy duty mechanical repair work through a workshop environment
- 10 yearsβ experience working on Caterpillar, Komatsu and/or Hitachi equipment
- Strong business and technical acumen
- Strong MS Office Suite skills
- An understanding of auto electrical and/or fabrication principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
