The Role: Machinist

Join Our Team in Rydalmere: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Acoustics Manufacturing Team. Your role will involve operating machining equipment to produce sonar parts for our assembly lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machines to machine production parts to tolerance.
  • Set up machines for machining tasks.
  • Perform machine safety checks and routine maintenance as required
  • Ensure our daily production requirements are met
  • Maintain machine and area cleanliness.
  • Conduct quality checks and complete production documentation.
  • Identify and report equipment failures/defects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment

Your Skills:

  • Relevant tradesman qualifications - Trade experience in Fitting & Machining or Toolmaking.
  • Proficient in setting up and operating machining equipment
  • Experience with CNC machinery and basic programming.
  • Ability to perform machine maintenance and fault finding.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
