At Tennis Australia (TA) plans are underway to deliver our summer of tennis for 2025! The Australian Open will be back and we’re looking for a Logistics Warehouse Assistant to join our team until March 2025.
About the role
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Warehouse Supervisor with the maintenance, delivery and storage of Tennis Australia (TA) assets stored at our warehouse in Altona North.
The TA Warehouse stores the majority of event related assets indoors on racking and on the floor as well as outdoors in shipping containers.
The Warehouse Assistant will work behind the scenes to ensure all assets are delivered and received in a safe and timely manner and reflect the high standards we strive to attain for our customer and stakeholder base. This position provides a supportive role in the lead up, during and post Australian Open which enables the department to execute their Logistics program within a very tight timeframe.
The Warehouse Assistant must have a positive attitude, be proactive, resourceful and able to learn quickly. They join a fast paced team as we commence our busiest time and must develop an understanding of the work and their role within it, to effectively support the Warehouse Supervisor and wider Logistics Team.About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail
- Proven ability to be an effective team member with the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills – working with a diverse range of cultural backgrounds
- Computer literacy with experience in the use of event/warehouse related databases and Microsoft Office is desirable
- Qualification/experience in related field (desirable)
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience working in a warehouse
- Willingness to obtain/Must have valid Construction Induction Card (or State or Territory equivalent)
- Current Forklift license is compulsory
- Current Victorian Driver’s license is compulsory
