DescriptionAbout the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated HR Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis at our head office in Mulgrave. Reporting to the HR Business Partner (HRBP), this role will provide critical and highly time sensitive admin assistance to the HRBP. The HR Coordinator will be central to entering and retrieving information from the Global HRIS system. This data forms a vital link in the chain of information provided to the Regional and corporate arms of Samsonite.
HR works in conjunction with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely benefits to staff. In addition, this role will assist in providing general admin assistance to senior managers as well as assisting with cultural development activities designed to enhance the overall employee experience.
Typical Duties Include:
Working in conjunction with the HRBP, assist and provide –
- Data entry for HRIS functions, Learning & Development (L&D), and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) reporting.
- Administrative support for various HR activities, including but not limited to:
- Calendar of events.
- Induction and onboarding.
- Letters to employees regarding salary and bonus provisions.
- Recruitment, pre-employment checks and exit checklists.
- Probation reviews.
- Performance Level Assessments.
- Advice on entitlements, conditions of service, and related policies to team members.
- Support as a secretary to the Heads of Departments (HOD’s) meetings, including, taking and distributing minutes and other key meetings as required.
- Room/event coordination and catering for major activities.
- Employee reward & recognition activities.
- Procurement of operational supplies, including raising Purchase Requisitions (PR’s) in SAP.
- Other duties as required within your capacity to perform.
About You:
- Relevant experience in HR (1 year).
- Strong data entry skills.
- Strong understanding of the MS Office suite.
- Competent IT background.
- Maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the HR function.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Developed Interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Exposure to HRIS systems (advantageous).
