Each graduate is guided through our Emerging Engineers Program and they are trained in all technical aspects of design as well as how construction sites run. By the end of the scheme, the engineer will have all the tools and experience to enable an application for the Engineers Australia CEng accreditation.

 

The Role

As a Graduate Engineer at TTW, your role will be to carry out structural designs and provide technical expertise on a wide variety of public and private sector projects. 

This is a permanent full-time position commencing in January, 2025 where you will be working in our Brisbane office located in the heart of the CBD!

Your main activities will include:

  • Work on simple projects or sections of projects; working towards assuming responsibility for sections of projects
  • Use standard engineering techniques for the purpose of solving problems
  • Assist senior engineers with analysis of information, production of designs and calculations
  • Prepare calculations and analysis of building structures
  • Liaise with drafters to enable preparation of documentation
  •  Assist with preparation of specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation under close supervision
  • Liaise and coordinate with builders, architects, and services engineers on design issues under supervision of a senior engineer
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies in all aspects 

 

About You

Ideally you will be a degree qualified engineering professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving.

You will have:

  • An Australian tertiary engineering qualification;
  • Building related experience in your internship or if working in your current role – commercial, residential, government, public buildings and retail;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian regulatory requirements;
  • A can-do attitude;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well with senior management, clients and relevant authorities and build rapport and relationships;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • The ability to multi-task and work within a motivated and busy team;
  • The initiative to self-start and take control;
