Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Fleet Controller to join our team based in Kalgoorlie.


While this role is advertised in Kalgoorlie, we are also open to this position being FIFO ex Perth (8 days on 6 days off).Key Role Focus & Responsibilities:


The Fleet Controller’s key role focus is to manage vehicle loads, schedule drivers, and ensure the efficient operation of the fleet.

This role involves coordinating with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The Fleet Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and providing exceptional customer service.


  • Scheduling vehicle loads and load plans within safety tolerances.
  • Schedule drivers’ runs accurately.
  • Consulting with drivers throughout the day to ensure they are progressing well, meeting delivery schedule and staying within fatigue limits.
  • Consulting with customers regarding access conditions.
  • Data entry for Fuel companion.
  • Work co-operatively with Fleet Planner to ensure the most efficient and effective completion of the schedule.
  • Highlight inconsistencies in operational Data.
  • Reporting of operational information to relevant management.
  • Monitoring of all vehicles throughout daily operation.
  • Recording of demurrage data.
  • Airport pickup/drop-off.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Minimum C class)
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Dedication to high safety standards 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills
  • Ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Collaborative team player with a positive and constructive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Well-developed computer skills and adaptability to new systems
  • Detailed knowledge of load configurations, weights, allocation etc.

 

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • MTDATA experience
  • Fuel/Office Companion experience
  • Guardian experience
  • Strong knowledge of Perth Metropolitan and Country locations.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience 
  • Working knowledge of WA Fatigue regulations 
  • Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility duties
  • Working knowledge Heavy Vehicle National Law
