Conplant’s success and stability in market has led to the need for a Field Service Technician to join our Yatala yard.
Reporting into the Workshop Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of the business, delivering a range of planned and ad hoc repairs and maintenance on customer sites and in Conplant’s workshops.
You will also:
• Action all associated follow up activities and paperwork to ensure the proactive maintenance of Conplant’s hire fleet in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Undertake fault diagnosis and repair (mechanical, electrical, air conditioning and hydraulics) in a time sensitive customer facing, operational environment on customer sites
and in Conplant’s workshop, actioning all associated follow up activities and paperwork to minimise customer downtime and contribute to the maintenance of Conplant’s hire revenue.
• Provide a range of technical advice to customers (face to face and by telephone) to assist in the effective minimisation of unscheduled call outs and where necessary co-ordinate planned and adhoc external resource allocation to minimise downtime, maintain operational capability and contribute to the maintenance of Conplant’s hire revenue stream.
• Assist in ‘on the job training’ of apprentices, ensuring all assigned tasks set out by Conplant and TAFE requirements are supervised and completed safely and appropriately.
You will bring:
• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and ideally a Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology.
• At least 5 years’ experience working on heavy construction equipment, with ideally at least three years’ experience in a Field Service role.
• Current driving licence and ideally a Medium Rigid licence is required.
• Licences to operate plant and equipment, eg forklift, would be desirable.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Computer literacy is required for use of Microsoft Office and in-house software systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
• Efficiency orientation, looking for best use of resources.
