The Role

The role will be specific to large master planned townhouse developments. The projects rage in size from around 50 Townhouses to over 250. The company constructs them all themselves through their internal building arm. They have a very large pipeline, a lot of acquisitions on the go and the dire need for an experienced Senior Estimator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with key stakeholders to understand construction plans and define scope of works
• Analyse and evaluate project specifications, ensuring all aspects are considered in the estimation process
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for multi-residential and commercial construction projects
• Prepare bills of quantities for use by subcontractors and suppliers for pricing 
• Coordinating multiple estimates simultaneously and defining areas of responsibility
• Reviewing material and labour requirements and selecting trades based on most cost-effective construction methods
• Reviewing and approving finalised costs estimates and submitting to clients for selection, including presenting
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methodologies to provide informed estimates
• Prospecting existing and new subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Offer Value Management options
• Liaise with the construction team on methodology, buildability and programme
• Carry out site visits and attend meetings
• Hand over to project delivery team
• Proficiency in CostX measurement software
• Previous experience with Revit/3D Measurement in CostX (beneficial)

Requirements

• 5 years + demonstrated experience in commercial estimating
• Knowledge of undertaking tender submissions
• Negotiation skills
• Relationship management experience
• Knowledge of assembling trade packages
