Summary:
Are you a site supervisor or foreman ready to transition into an office-based role while still engaging with the field? As a Construction Manager, you will manage onsite trades, subcontractors, and suppliers, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure project success. This role involves frequent site visits to provide technical direction and maintain communication with site staff and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
Lead procurement to ensure sites have necessary materials and goods.Serve as the communication bridge between site teams and project managers for material requirements and realistic project timelines.Oversee and evaluate supplier quotes, ensuring materials meet project specifications.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor performance, compliance, and quality of workmanship.Support on-site trades with technical guidance and ensure accountability for project delivery.Prepare and execute safety, quality, and environmental management plans, while managing stakeholder communication and compliance.Report weekly and monthly project statuses to directors and collaborate on achieving company goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in in Carpentry, Building and Construction, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
