The Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a worksite to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and efficient manner. This employee's duties include hiring construction workers and trade professionals to perform specific tasks, monitoring budgeting expenses for workers, supplies, or tools, and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.


Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, or personnel.
  • Delegate individual responsibilities, and projects to crew members and contractors.
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, and mentor employees and contractors.
  • Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
  • Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
  • Develop and manage project budget and quality standards for the jobsite.
  • Resolve conflict or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
  • Provide regular reporting of project status to supervisors, site engineers, and other project officials.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license, preferred.
  • One (1) year of relevant experience, preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
