Raineri Construction is seeking an experienced and professional Working Concrete Foreman to join our growing team.  This person must be an expert in all aspects of concrete construction and have excellent leadership skills.  They need a full understanding of basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold & hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems, etc. as well as calculations for pours.

This job pays a prevailing wage which consists of an excellent starting base rate of $48/hr., company truck & fuel card, plus fringe benefits which include health insurance, vacation and 401K.

Job Summary:


The Heavy Civil Foreman is responsible for the careful preparation, construction and maintenance of concrete related jobsites, by ensuring that their crew performs tasks as specified by the Superintendent and Management. The Foreman may also operate and maintain various machines, load, unload and transport frequently heavy materials, assist in construction work and take full direction from Management. Foremen are responsible for coordinating, managing and directing the crew/s assigned to them and is directly responsible and accountable for their performance.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Daily coordination of all crew/s as directed by Management
  • Directing and assisting crew with their daily responsibilities related to structural concrete work, including roadways, foundations, elevated formwork cycles, cranes, layout and controls, placement, and consolidating and finishing concrete.
  • Daily training and mentorship of new hires to ensure optimal performance
  • Daily reviews of safety best practices and vulnerabilities
  • Daily disbursement, cleaning and inventorying of tools
  • Daily crew check in and dismissal
  • Daily completion of crew performance log
  • Assist superintendent with paperwork and performance analysis of crewmembers
  • Daily reporting of all safety, performance and attendance issues to Management
  • Prep sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management in order to complete the task at hand
  • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis


Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working heavy civil construction projects.
  • One year, or more, of experience managing and directing others preferred.
  • Full understanding of basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold & hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems, etc. as well as calculations for pours.
  • Intermediate or above computer skills, including basic use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel required, Procore experience is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.
  • Has completed, or will complete within first workweek, the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Course (If needed, Raineri will provide training at no cost)
