Claims Examiner, Auto

This position can be filled in Toronto

Essential Job Functions

This position will be responsible for the active management of Auto Physical Damage claims within in the Canadian Claims Group. Prior experience handling Auto Physical Damage Claims is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be required to evaluate coverage, draft coverage correspondence, undertake claims investigations, assess liability and financial exposure, and effectively negotiate cost effective, good faith claims resolutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the insurance profession dealing specifically with Auto Physical Damage claims.
• In-depth understanding of policy language/coverage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High degree of proficiency with Excel
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Fluency in French preferred.
