Who We Are

Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) provider, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Skytrans, a renowned regional airline in Queensland. As part of our expansion into the Australian market, we are set to introduce jet operations, starting with the Airbus A320 family of aircraft. This will be in addition to our well established Dash 8 and C208 Caravan operation, servicing remote and regional Queensland as well as the Torres Strait.

About the role

We are currently seeking a B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join the Brisbane team to service our Dash8 Aircraft. Within six months our fleet will also include 1-3 Airbus aircraft.

Reporting to the Responsible Manager – Part 145, you will provide high level aircraft maintenance to our fleet, in accordance with Company policy and CASA regulations.

To be successful you will possess the relevant type experience and qualifications together with personal qualities of enthusiasm, self-motivation and a demonstrated commitment to exceptional quality, safety, and high standards of work output.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring maintenance of the Skytrans aircraft is completed and certified in accordance with regulatory, manufacturers and Part 145 MOE requirements

• Ensuring the ongoing serviceability and presentation of company aircraft on a daily basis, carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance

• Researching requirements for upcoming maintenance to ensure availability of parts

• Testing of equipment and tooling

• Rectifications of defects away from base

• Contributing to the safety and quality managements system

• Undertaking corrective rectification of aircraft systems

• Completing scheduled aircraft maintenance

• Completing primary line maintenance activities

• Minimum 5 years’ experience

Candidates must demonstrate in their application:

• Hold a CASA Dash 8 100/200/300 type license

• Ability to undergo training to obtain an Airbus rating with no restrictions

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures

• Ability to work effectively as part of a professionally diverse team, but also have the ability to work unsupervised

• High level of attention to detail

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to successfully obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card

• Ability to pass random and routine drug and alcohol screening for employment purposes

You must be eligible to live and work in Australia or hold an appropriate visa.
