About the role

We continue to grow! This is a newly created position, the successful applicant will be passionate about delivering high quality products to our customers and leading their team with integrity and best practice techniques.

Working within our Retail Homes section, the Assistant Construction Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Construction Team, with the support from an experienced Construction Manager. With a genuine pathway to becoming a Construction Manager, this is a great opportunity to receive mentoring and training to further develop your skillset and career!

About you

You will be a self-motivated and natural leader with at least 5 years’ experience in the residential construction industry. You will have the ability to make sound judgements in high pressure situations and adapt to changing priorities. You may currently be in a Site Supervisor role and looking to take the next step.

You will have experience in a similar role and a good understanding of the residential build process, construction techniques and operational management.

  • Exceptional time management and advanced organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and keep track of competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well to people at all levels.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills with high proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
  • Proven business acumen and the ability to develop and monitor budgets and financial targets.
  • Experience managing risk and the ability to identify and mitigate risk through planning.
  • Strong knowledge of the WHS Act and Regulations and demonstrated experience in applying them in the workplace.
  • Hold a current Driver’s Licence and Building Work Contractor's Licence.
  • Ideally hold a Diploma in Building & Construction and/or Business Management.
