Job Description

As the Apprentice Shopfitter you will be involved in the design, manufacture and construction of fixtures and fittings working with various materials suitable for retail, hospitality, and other commercial spaces to create functional and aesthetically pleasing custom interior products that meet our clients’ needs and specifications.

  • As a shopfitter apprentice, you will report to and assist the fabrication team leader.
  • Identify and apply information from plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manufacture products from drawings for both standard and detailed custom fabrications
  • Learning the skills and techniques such as measuring and cutting of materials, carpentry and joinery, upholstery, material handling, health & safety
  • Effectively communicating as part of a team and other divisions of the business
  • Identify and apply information in construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Fabricate components using CNC machinery, various power with hand tools.
  • Assemble internal units and prepare for transport.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow directions and deadlines provided, to a high-quality output.
  • Need an eye for detail and have a can-do attitude.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and well presented.
  • Willingness to undertake – TAFE Certificate III in cabinet making, or shopfitting.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Ability to think on your feet and find solutions.
  • Must be an Australian resident.

Additional Information

This is a full time Monday to Friday, working hours below: 
Monday to Thursday 7.00 am to 3.00 pm 
Friday 7.00 am to 1.00 pm    

Salary: up to $27 per hour,  dependent upon stage / year of apprenticeship
