Australian Botanical Products (ABP), an IXOM brand, is a leading supplier of Essential Oils in Australia and New Zealand, with a growing presence in Asia.

 

ABP has supplied essential oils, plant extracts and fragrances for use in a range of industries including cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and flavour & fragrance. ABP is a TGA manufacturing facility offering contract manufacture and producing proprietary listed medicines for the domestic and export markets.

About your role

 

We are currently searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse Manager to join our Australian Botanical Products business, based in Hallam. This role will manage all warehouse functions including inwards goods, stock movements, dispatch and 3rd party storage providers.

 

This role will provide the opportunity to define and execute the long-term strategy for the broader Warehouse function and you will be instrumental in continuously improving our operations to develop a strong culture and bring the team along a journey of change.

 

This role is an on-site role based at our Hallam facility and will be required in the office 5 days a week.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the warehousing of raw and packaging materials
  • Manage processes, storage and issue of products to productions areas to ensure full supply of raw materials, packaging and consumables
  • Ensure all safety standard, Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility requirements are adhered to and in line with regulations
  • Direct management, development and coaching of the warehousing team ensuring work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Design and implement procedures to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Identify, drive and embed continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programs
  • Maintaining the highest standards of compliance, safety, and cleanliness to create an environment that celebrates and nurtures excellence.
  • Management of 3rd party provider agreement
  • Management of the freight budget
  • Synchronising warehouse activities with production to maximise operational efficiency

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Significant experience in previous warehouse management ideally within a Pharmaceutical or FMCG environment
  • Superior leadership skills, able to build rapport quickly and effectively to create a highly collaborative working environment
  • Proven experience in team management, change management, and driving employee engagement initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience as a change agent, improving existing processes and implementation of change practices
  • Experience implementing a EBA grading structure and competency framework will be highly advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and resilience and able to recover from setbacks
  • Excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills to build relationships at all levels
  • Exposure to a TGA and Dangerous Goods environment will be highly regarded, however is not essential
  • Knowledge of ERP and WMS systems will be highly regarded
