Underground Utility Operator
Reports To: Regional Manager
Overview:
The Underground Utility Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment and machinery to assist with the installation of underground utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery for underground utility installation
- Read and interpret site drawings and utility maps
- Perform tasks such as digging, trenching, and backfilling
- Conduct site restoration after utility installation
- Ensure safety protocols are followed while operating equipment
Equipment Utilized:
- Locators
- Mini Excavators
- Skit Loaders
- Hydro-Vacs
- Tampers
- Jack Hammers
- Dozers
- Backhoes
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience running machinery
- Ability to read site drawings and utility maps
- Basic knowledge and ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively
- Ability to travel
- Ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
