About The Role
Our underground coal mine is seeking 3 x highly motivated Electricians to join our underground team in Narrabri, NSW. Our Longwall is fully automated and utilises some of the most advanced technology in Australia. We are a long life mine with approvals to operate until 2044.
What You’ll Do
- Undertake and direct electrical maintenance activities on shift as needed
- Work collaboratively with your crew members, assisting where required and be a positive influence in high performance behaviour in the workplace
- Support site HSEC policy and procedures, following safe work procedures as set out for the work process
- Inspection of the work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects
- Completion of all necessary statutory equipment inspections in your panel.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience working in underground mining
- Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Qualification/ license
- Experience/ qualifications in Flameproof Protection Enclosures
- Experience/ qualifications in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Training (EEHA)
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work rotating shifts – day, night and afternoon
