Endeavour Foundation is a member of Charitable Recycling Australia (CRA) which promotes the impact of the charitable reuse, recycling and retail sector.
About the role:
- This role is for a Truck Driver predominately with Recycling Attendant responsibilities.
- Drive our Endeavour Foundation truck securely transporting donated goods between sites.
- Day to Day Responsibility for the Trucks start-up procedures and safety.
- Safely loading and unloading stock as directed by Supervisors or Shop Coordinators.
- Fulfil Recycle attendant duties such as inspecting vehicles entering the waste facility to ascertain the contents of each load and direct drivers to the appropriate recycling areas.
- Assist customers to unload contents and advise the most appropriate methods of disposing of contents by providing instructions for the separation of specified materials to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Maintain a high level of tidiness and presentation of premises/truck to ensure Endeavour and the waste facility’s image is of the highest standard.
- Comply with Endeavour’s Work Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure safety in and out of the workplace is upheld.
About you:
- Must hold a valid MR Licence as well as a forklift license with a clear driving record,
- You offer exceptional customer service, great communication, and excellent time management skills so that you can contribute and support your team,
- Be flexible and available to cover shifts at short notice, including weekend work and shifts at some of our other waste facilities,
- Willing to adhere to stringent Workplace Health and Safety practices,
- Be comfortable with heavy lifting and working on your feet all day,
- You can work with minimal supervision, but with high levels of respect for others.
