The Opportunity

Austal currently have new opportunities in Henderson for a Storeperson to join our Electrical Department on a full-time basis.

 

What’s involved

  • Accurate and timely completion of goods received in the electrical store
  • Store inventory ensuring accurate location is reflected in the electrical store
  • Picking, packaging, and kitting of electrical components from store ticket request and part list
  • Despatching of electrical equipment and materials, including the delivery of orders
  • Stocktaking and reordering of electrical store consumables
  • Liaise with Procurement team with accurately and timely feedback on received goods
  • Liaise with Procurement team and the electrical material planner, ensuring an optimal process on the reordering and backordering of goods
  • Safe operation of forklift as per usage procedure
  • Provide forklift services for electrical material movement around site
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the stress facility and its processes
  • Provide a high-level service to the electrical team

 

You’ll need

  • Drivers Licence & Forklift Ticket
  • Previous experience working within a similar role
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment and parts used within the electrical field
  • Good technological knowledge of the goods, materials and/or services procured to ensure satisfactory quality and performance
  • Computer literate with experience with Pronto would be an advantage
  • Have strong communication, interpersonal and people management skills
  • Proactivity regarding safety in the workplace
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced production environment 
  • Construction White card
