Signal Electrician In Charge - Dubbo

UGL Regional Linx operate and maintain the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN).

UGL Regional Linx are currently looking for a Signal Electrician In Charge seeking a long-term opportunity with a leading rail operator. This is a permanent role based in Dubbo, NSW. As a Signal Electrician In Charge, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a designated maintenance team within the signalling structure. You will manage the prioritization of compliance-based work orders, defect management, critical spares management, rostering, and timesheet entries. Additionally, you will liaise with local RM and MPM teams, coordinate work, and participate in possession planning and planning activities.


 Your role as a Signal Electrician In Charge

As a Signal Electrician In Charge, you will be responsible for supervising your maintenance team, ensuring the efficient completion of work orders and supporting team members with technical challenges. You will also perform your duties as a Signal Electrician, conducting maintenance inspections, installing, and maintaining signalling equipment, diagnosing faults and ensuring the overall reliability of signalling systems. This role will include being part of an on-call roster to address network issues outside of standard working hours.


About You

•    Signal Electrician Assessed & hold a Cert IV Electrical (Rail Signalling)
•    Previous Signalling experience
•    Competent in fault rectification, testing, commissioning & decommissioning of Signalling Systems
•    Strong ability to interpret/read technical drawings
•    Excellent Communication skills
•    Time Management skills
•    White card
•    Class C Driver’s licence essential (HR preferred)
•    Hold a current RIW card (preferable)
•    Rail maintenance background and technical understanding 
•    Intermediate computer literacy skills
•    Protection officer level 2
