Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Shop Foreman who will also be responsible for our weekly carpet cleaning appointments! As a Carpet Cleaning Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional cleaning and restoration services to our residential and commercial clients. Your expertise in carpet cleaning techniques and equipment will ensure that our customers' carpets are restored to a pristine condition! As the Shop Foreman, you will also be responsible for ensuring the shop is maintained in a tidy and organized fashion and is fully stocked with all the necessary supplies and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Drive from our office in Coldbrook to various carpet cleaning job sites in the Annapolis Valley
- Perform carpet cleaning using various techniques, such as hot water extraction, depending on the carpet type and condition
- Move furniture and other objects as needed to facilitate carpet cleaning
- Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing excellent customer service
- Maintain and clean equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety
- Keep accurate records of services performed, collect payments, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure the shop is clean and well-stocked daily
- Pick up materials and supplies from hardware stores and deliver to job sites
- Help ensure all fleet vehicles are clean and well-maintained
- Help process and clean contents brought back to our facility from insurance claims
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Previous experience in professional carpet cleaning or related field is preferred, but not mandatory. Your positive attitude and friendly personality are more important!
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality results
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of different carpet types, cleaning techniques, and cleaning solutions is an asset, but we will train
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning equipment, including extractors, steam cleaners, and dry cleaning machines
- Understanding of stain removal techniques and products
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and move furniture as necessary
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Ability to lift building supplies and materials
Salary and Benefits:
- Wages will depend on experience, but starting salary will range from $16-$20 per hour
- Wages paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
