Working with our growing ACT division you will be working within our collaborative commercial team, supporting the success of numerous projects.
THE ROLE
- Overall head contract, subcontract and commercial management support
- Implement process improvements for Project administration procedures
- Commercial planning and procurement in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Procurement of specialist equipment via overseas supply chain.
- Internal project forecasting and budget management processes
- Prepare and manage internal and external monthly reporting activities
- Manage variations and proposals in a timely fashion
- Ensure ongoing commercial and contractual compliance and support to the project team
- Understand the Scope of Works and identify opportunities and risk to the project
- Establish and maintain project administration processes, including Document Control, RFIs, Submittals, and Transmittals and Variation registers
- Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, variations and contract notices
- Administer Deeds of Release and Final Accounts at project close out
- Oversee client and stakeholder requests to improve project outcomes
- Lead and mentor within the commercial team
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will bring previous experience in a varied contract administration role along with:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Commercial Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management)
- Civil/ structural work experience/ Building experience/ marine experience
- Previous experience in a similar commercial role
- Time management skills
- Analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Working knowledge of project administration and project control applications
- Ability to manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills
- Experience presenting information to a range of audiences
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to obtain an Australian Police Clearance
