Auscol plays a critical role in the collection of source material for production of reduced carbon emissions biodiesel and Sustainable Aviation Fuel. As part of a GrainCorp end-to-end supply chain that sources and processes edible oils for use in in food production and food service, Auscol closes the loop by upcycling the subsequent Used Cooking Oil. Providing equipment, transport and service solutions for that collection and upcycling, Auscol works with an extensive customer base across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. We supply storage tanks, operate a fleet of high-tech vacuum collection trucks, and maintain an unrivalled inland and portside processing and bulk storage network. And we do this to the highest international standards.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager and located at our North Fremantle site, we are looking for an energetic and motivated Regional Operations Manager to lead a customer focussed regional operational team. You will deliver efficient and effective management, execution, and optimisation opportunities across all operational activities in WA & SA regions. Key responsibilities of this role included, but are not limited to;
• Managing workplace Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ), Chain of Responsibility, Accreditations, Traceability, as well as company and regulatory compliance requirements
• Managing the operational aspects of the business and driving a continuous improvement focus including efficiencies across the network, optimising assets and resources
• Providing operational support for the sales team
• Ensuring traceability obligations are met, from point of collection through the entire supply chain
• Developing the team and maintaining a high level of engagement across the WA & SA regions
About your experience
Our successful candidate will come to us with proven experience in recycling, waste, oils/bulk liquids, transport and/or service-related industries. You will have a strong track record in safety, leadership, operational delivery, and ability to drive continuous improvement and change. Other key experiences and skills we are looking for are:
• Demonstrated hands on leadership and technical expertise in logistics, materials handling & asset management
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations
• Ability to build rapport at all levels (internally and externally).
• Time management and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Determined, resilient and results focused
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• High degree of motivation and energy
• Ideally experience in a business that has maintained ISO9001, AS 45001 and AS14001 external accreditation
