Salary Package: $120k - $140k + Super + Bonus 
Role Highlights: This is an exciting and pivotal role that not only requires technical expertise but strong leadership. You’ll drive strategy, development, and team engagement, working closely with the Site Operations and Quality leadership teams to set the tone for success.

Role Overview

As the Quality Manager, you will oversee the quality systems and processes that ensure the production of high-quality meat-based products, maintaining food safety standards and compliance with industry certifications (SQF, HACCP, GMP). 
Reporting into Operations and a Head of Quality, you will have a stable and supportive leadership team around you to help you succeed, you’ll lead a skilled quality team and focus on moving from QC to QA, guiding the site through its transformation phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Quality Assurance team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
  • Manage quality systems and transition the team from a QC to QA focus.
  • Drive process improvement projects, including digitalization of the QMS system.
  • Oversee hygiene, sanitation, and GMP programs, and ensure records are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Engage with customers, auditors, and external parties to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and providing clear growth pathways.

Candidate Profile 

You are a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager with a passion for ensuring excellence in manufacturing operations.  You have proven FMCG experience, preferably in the food/meat processing industry.  

You will bring:

  • A background in quality management within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team of 4 – 6 direct reports.
  • Expertise in systems improvement, including transitioning to electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (HACCP, SQF, GMP) and experience leading audit preparation.
  • A hands-on, resilient, and adaptable approach to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
