The Opportunity

Austal are seeking Painters/Blasters with industrial and/or automotive industry background.

What’s involved

• Blast operations using garnet abrasive.
• Use of dry and wet film thickness gauges
• Confined space blasting and Painting activities
• Qualifications to work from EWP’s.
• Ability to follow application processes to specified thickness.

You’ll need

• Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
• Spray-painting skills using conventional and airless systems
• Knowledge of a range of paint products
• Perform stripe coating by brush and roller.
• Strong safety focus and awareness.
• Ability to use power tools and Paint/blast equipment safely.
• Shipyard experience is an advantage.
