ABOUT THE ROLE
As Operations Manager (Grassdale Feedlot) you will be leading a capable team, whilst focussing on the following key responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Livestock Health, Livestock Movements, Feeding and Milling teams to strive for teamwork and high performance in the delivery of outcomes aligned to the performance of the feedlot.
- Participate in the formulation of capital expenditure, plans and budgets for approval, implementing and managing approved capital projects as appropriate.
- Use high level and effective communication skills to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of the feedlot.
- Ensure that cattle health, wellbeing, and performance are thoroughly monitored each day in an efficient manner and in accordance with company protocols and procedures
- Ensure all livestock operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements, policy, procedure, compliance, and regulatory requirements
ABOUT YOU
- You will have demonstrated experience leading a team of people and be able to talk about what you have done well that has set the team up for success and achieve high performance.
- You have substantial experience in key feedlot functions, which may be complimented by a degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- We would love to hear about your advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good judgement and the ability to make timely practical and effective decisions.
- Advanced organisational, record keeping and data processing skills.
