Sea World’s collaborative and supportive atmosphere will enable you to grow as an integral part of our engineering team, performing duties such as routine safety checks, preventative maintenance and overhauls of some of Australia’s most exciting equipment and attractions. Not only will you work on our iconic attractions, but you will also collaborate with other departments, including Marine Sciences, to create memories that last lifetimes!

The minimum requirements to apply for this role (mandatory):
•   A minimum Cert III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
•   Ability to work on any day including early mornings, evenings and weekends
•   A reasonable level of fitness to enable the climbing of ladders and stairs

It would be advantageous if you have (desirable):
•   Hydraulics qualifications highly regarded
•   Experience with working at heights
•   Currently hold EWP, Forklift License, or willing to obtain
•   Manual drivers license

Shifts:
We are offering family friendly rosters. Our shifts allow our team members to be home every night. Shifts times range between 5.00am and 6.00pm, rotating over 7 weeks.

Shift Samples:
Day shift: 5am – 3pm / 5am – 1:06pm / 8am – 6pm
Weekend shift: 3 days 5:20am – 6pm and 4 days off

Your day to day:
•   Undertake pre- park opening safety checks
•   Respond to breakdowns on various equipment
•   Partake in various rebuilds and repairs of property
•   Maintain marine animal life support systems and water quality infrastructure
•   Ensure the safety of yourself and others by adherence to OHS procedures
•   Obtain equipment licences and training as required
•   Complete daily tasks as instructed by the Engineering Supervisor
•   Suggest improvements in work procedures in order to increase safety and efficiency within the department
