Typical skills and responsibilities
- Generalist HR support, acting as the first point of contact for HR queries;
- Supporting the HR Manager to ensure HR policies and processes are understood and current;
- HR administration and coordination across all employee activities;
- Provide HR support to hiring managers and employees.
Qualifications
Appropriate HR or related qualifications are desired but not essential.
Background
- Experience working on infrastructure projects is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role supporting a HR team in a fast paced project environment.
- Previous experience in HR/Payroll systems
- Excellent attention to detail with basic knowledge of Australian employment legislation and awareness of compliance requirements.
- Ability to work autonomously and without supervision, often with competing priorities and interests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
