Ground Recruitment is a Pty Ltd company established in July 2022. It exclusively provides highly specialised permanent recruitment services and high-performance coaching to geotechnical engineers, geologists and select clients across Australia and New Zealand.
This client is a privately owned and operated Australian company with the decision makers and owners residing mainly on the east coast of Australia. Their offices are in Brisbane, Melbourne and, most recently, Perth. They are technically focused and have a large team of Principals to support you.
The Perth office is being built around a well know engineer who comes from a background working for specialist contractors at a senior management level who has recenlty been joined by Perth's most prominent Senior Principal Geotechnical Engineer. The company is very well respected within our industry. It has an extensive database of pile test results for pile design, giving them a competitive edge on projects. Other areas of design include foundations, retention systems, ground improvement, temporary works, crane and drill pads and slope stability.
To be put forward to the client for the geotechnical engineer position, you will ideally be able to demonstrate that you have previous experience working on or running small to medium-ground investigations. It would be best if you were building on your understanding of Perth and Western Australia's local ground conditions, sampling methods, drilling techniques, lab scheduling, OH&S, proposal writing, project management, ground models, and report writing of basic factual and interpretative reports.
From a design perspective, you should have had some exposure to software packages such as or like Plaxis 2d & 3d, Slide 2d, Settle 3d, CPet-IT, and Wallap and be able to explain your project involvement and your level of software proficiency.
