PITCO FOODS FORKLIFT OPERATOR
PITCO Foods is a large independent foodservice distributor in Northern California. Based in San Jose, CA, PITCO also has distribution centers in Brisbane, Oakland, and Sacramento.
POSITION SUMMARY: A Pitco Foods warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for using a forklift to move and organize materials within a warehouse or distribution center, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Helps our members to load items into their carts, and vehicles and directs them to merchandise.
- Communicates with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plan and priorities.
- Stocks shelves, aligns merchandise, collects and returns stray items. Cuts boxes for display / accessibility of the merchandise and cuts twine and shrink wrap from pallet. Marks merchandise as needed.
- Moves and positions pallets of merchandise. Stacks merchandise from partial pallets onto full pallets. Checks for correct merchandise signs.
- Pulls loose cardboard and slip sheets from the floor. Clears the sales floor of debris and sweeps. Removes empty pallets from aisles.
- Operates pallet jack, forklift, cardboard baler, and trash compactors in a safe manner, keeping away from front end and customer foot/vehicle traffic. Rewraps loose merchandise. Placing trash in the appropriate location.
- Follows all safety and security procedures. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.
- Follows all established inventory preparation guidelines and requirements.
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A
- Bi-lingual is a plus but not required
- Must pass Drug Test and Background Check

EXPERIENCE:
- Stocker or comparable experience with 2 years of relevant experience.
PAY RATE: $21.00 - $23.00
