The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified electrical trades person with electrical nominee and supervisory experience.

The successful candidate should be ambitious, enjoy a challenge and have a strong trade background including experience with the operation of facilities maintenance services for infrastructure at remote site locations.

Duties:

  • Supervisor experience and management of trade staff in an FM environment would be highly regarded.
  • Ability to improve usage of CMMS by trades team and effective use of data to improve reporting and decision making ability.
  • Experience scoping and managing trade staff to deliver minor works projects.
  • Responsible for driving performance delivery of trade staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining, village accommodation units, village dining and kitchen facilities, ancillary buildings, including, wet mess, gym, retail outlets.
  • Repairs and maintenance of single phase and 3 phase power, general light and power.
  • Statutory testing and tagging of electrical appliances, both single phase and 3 phase.
  • Statutory RCD testing and smoke alarm testing.
  • Routine Preventative Maintenance, fault finding and repairs
  • Investigation of failures, analysis and recommendation for rectification.
  • New project type works will be undertaken from time to time.
  • Attend to urgent requests at site outside of normal working hours.
  • Responsibility for maintaining appropriate stock levels of parts and equipment to ensure the smooth supply to our maintenance department.

What we are looking for:

  • Applicants must have electrical nominee qualifications.
  • Applicants must hold current trade qualifications for the Western Australian working environment.
  • Current A class electrical licence.
  • Applicants must hold current qualifications to undertake appliance test and tag.
  • Must be flexible and be available for out of hours work.
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrable post trade experience working in a commercial environment.
  • Previous experience providing maintenance services in a remote environment.
  • Previous experience working in a facilities maintenance environment involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules.
  • WA Construction Industry Awareness “White” Card
  • Current “C” class manual driver’s license.

Applicants should hold a current National Police clearance and must be prepared to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
