Estimator - Construction (Copy)

Our client is a leading end-to-end solutions provider with its five business advisories from Workplace Strategy, Leasing Advisory, Design, Furniture Advisory to Construction in Queensland. Focusing on the best outcomes for their clients with a client centric approach.

As an Estimator you will be in responsible for estimating the costs of construction projects ranging from medium to high complexity working with key stakeholders to provide the most cost-effective plans that meet high-quality standard.

What your responsibilities will look like

• Adhering to tendering timelines and identifying works that may or may not be shown in the tender documents, ensuring key milestones are met each week.
• Developing a thorough understanding of each project and sourcing subcontractors and suppliers with a high level of capability and compliance, as needed.
• Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time, material, equipment, and labour expenses.
• Collaborating with the design and construction team from the beginning of the process, to ensure high-level and quality estimation to deliver the client's outcome to budget.
• Coordinating and conducting ‘handover’ meetings with the project team once project has been awarded, providing detailed briefing of the tender requirements.
• Represent the company at a professional level.

What you will bring to the role

• Have a minimum of 3 years estimation experience working on various projects within fit-out, refurbishment, workplace style fit-outs; ranging from 300k - 20mil
• Tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, construction, construction management, construction engineering, or similar.
• In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry.
• Excellent team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, as well as any other industry building software platforms such as Nexvia and Cubit
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
