All Things Metal is seeking an entry level Fabrication Shop Foreman to join our growing team! This position is great for someone with experience overseeing smaller teams, or someone who is looking to get their start in a management role. This position will work directly with our shop manager, bay leads and kitting lead to ensure proper training and efficiency. If you are someone with a passion in teaching and training welders, this might be a great opportunity for you. 

All Things Metal is a structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator and erector located in Phoenix, Arizona, located off of Central and Pinnacle Peak. Our shop foreman is a critical part of our team and performs many essential duties. 

Qualifications:

  • 1 years minimum experience in relevant lead role (foreman, shop manager, trainer, lead welder etc)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be punctual, reliable and responsible.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Thorough understanding of structural steel fabrication processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of structural steel welding methods and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex structural steel assembly and parts drawings.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Understanding of Tekla PowerFab, EPM Go (a plus)
Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervise fabrication team, and delegate work accordingly to maintain schedule and meet deadlines.
  • Actively seeks solutions to issues during the fabrication process.
  • · Work directly with fabrication manager to ensure the teams has everything they need to be as efficient as possible.
  • · Responsible for opening the shop daily.
  • · Attend all required meetings.
  • · Perform employee performance reviews, new hire interviews, and disciplinary actions when required.
  • · Maintain safety 100% of the time and enforce required PPE for team members.
  • · Coach and Teach fabrication team.
  • · Uphold all company policies.
  • · Maintain all ATM quality standards.
  • · Maintain all company-built relationships in good standing.
