Job Description

BESIX Watpac are looking for an experienced Document Controller to join our NSW team to be based in the Illawara region. Working on a health project in a large collaborative team you will be managing the document management system (Aconex). 

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Proactively drive company safety policies, practices and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and procedures.
  • Providing general project administration support to the team as required.
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing documents, logging, distribution, filing and archiving of documents and drawings received. Maintaining registers including materials registers, drawing registers and files.
  • Controlling all project documentation using industry-standard systems.  Assisting with QA coordination and document control - ensuring records are kept and administered in accordance with the project QA plan.
  • Preparing monthly and other reports as required.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience within the building and construction industry or a similar industry.
  • Competency in basic administrative and secretarial skills including preparation of general correspondence, filing and document control, minute taking, and office management.
  • Intermediate level of MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook and ability and willingness to learn new software packages as required.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively within a team environment and demonstrate a positive approach and outlook in the workplace.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
